Dear Baileyton Families,

Whether you are a new family at Baileyton or you have been in the  community for years, welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! As August comes to an end, we are tweaking things and getting into our routine. It has taken a little adjusting as we welcome right at 400 pk-8 Dragons into our school this year. We have grown leaps and bounds with both the Panthers as well as in-county, state and out of state students joining us on our wonderful campus.

I want to WELCOME YOU TO THE BAILEYTON SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY - you are now one of us. I came to this school as an outsider several years ago and was welcomed in. I hope all our new families find it a welcoming school, community and school district. Feel free to schedule a time to come in and meet with me, email me, or contact a teacher with questions about the school or community.

We at Baileyton School look forward to meeting and working with you and your child throughout the school year.

Our website as well as the information you may receive from school and through teacher apps contain important information and dates. We will continue to keep you informed of events through these as well as our BEA (parent support group) Facebook page. You are welcome to contact the faculty or staff at anytime with questions and concerns.

Thank you for the support you give your student, the staff, Baileyton School and the entire community.  We are proud to be a 2019 REWARD School based on the 18-19 testing data. Reward schools are generally those that are improving in terms of achievement and growth for both all students and student groups.  These schools are identified annually.

  • Schools cannot be Reward if any student group performs in the bottom five percent in the state for any given student group.
  • A school cannot be Reward if also designated Priority or in need of Comprehensive Support and Improvement.

I look forward to a year full of community building as we learn, play and grow together. If you are new to the community please stop in and introduce yourself to me when you visit. Feel free to contact me via email or phone at any time throughout the school year to allow me to help support you and your child in growing and learning both educationally and socially to become the best he/she can be.

Sincerely,

Randy Richards, Principal
