The Greene County School System provides quality educational experiences and extra-curricular activities to over 6,000 students enrolled in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. We have been a level 5 district for the last seven years. The basic education and majority of the special education services are delivered through seven elementary schools, four middle school, and four high schools. Baileyton Elementary School enrolls over 360 students in pre-K through fourth grade. All of the other elementary schools enroll students through grade five. Additional programs located at Glenwood Education Center and include an alternative school, ROTC, the Early Learning Program (ELP), Bridges to Success, and B.E.S.T. In addition to this we offer vocational classes at the Greene Technology Center and online learning through Greene County Online Academy of Learning. The success of these programs is a direct result of the hard-work and dedication of the over 500 certified and 300 classified personnel employed by the system.
