Class Information

 

Our school utilizes the AR program to enhance our literacy curriculum.  Students read a book on their level and then take a computerized comprehension test. 

 

Our school also rewards students who meet their individualized AR points goal and maintain an 85% average.  First grade students are also rewarded for logging 200 books.

 

Students are expected to read their AR book each night and be prepared to take a test the next day.

 

 

Practice at home with an adult is essential to success.  Students should practice math facts and Fry words nightly.  Also, students have Math homework most nights and occasionally have reading homework.  Please check your child's folder and talk to your child about these things.
